Ian Hau | Founder of XLMS

Australian Chinese, Ian Hau is the founder of XLMS. A multi-displinary studio of architects and builders focused on next generation  “placemaking” of new collaborative workplaces, immersive retail and experiential hotel environments. Key projects include Dream Centre Shanghai, XiXi Hangzhou Wetland Park Masterplan, Macau L’Occitane Hotel and Campfire Co-working Projects.
Ian Hau graduated from University of Technology Sydney, Ian began his career in the Sydney with leading Australian architect Philip Cox for waterfront redevelopment and various Olympic stadia and Asian games facilities.
Ian is a charted member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, Served as assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong and a founding member of the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design. Ian was awarded in 2017 Perspective “40 under 40” (Architecture Category), 2019 HKB Management Excellence Awards – Innovator of the Year and recently the 2020 German Design Award for category(Excellent Architecture).
